March 12, 2010 - Whistler:
It's the afternoon before the 2010 PARALYMPIC DOWNHILL - woooooo hooooo! I'm pretty excited! It's been dumping snow here in Whistler so that it looks like Christmas in March. All the snow has meant that they only got the first of the official downhill training runs off, and that was on Wednesday. We went after more than 3 hours' delay and there was still lots of snow on the track. My run wasn't the greatest, so I'm going to have to step it up tomorrow for sure. I actually got a new helmet here at the games, so I'll be rocking it out in a yellow Canadian maple leaf helmet. The race is sold out, but CHEER, RING YOUR COWBELLS, YELL HUP! HUP! and SEND GOOD VIBES from wherever you are!!! P.S. I got a new camera recently but can't find the cable, so that's why there haven't been any pictures in a while. I'll definitely get some from the games someway.

March 5, 2010 - Lake Cowichan, B.C.

Today is the last day of our last training camp prior to the 2010 Paralympics. It's been a dryland training camp and I have really enjoyed my time out here (even though it has only been a few days). We leave for Whistler tomorrow. We'll train a few days in Whistler before the first official Downhill training run on March 10th. Then, the first race (Downhill) on Saturday, March 13th. It will be my first Paralympic race in 8 years! (my last one was the Slalom in Salt Lake City in 2002). I feel great right now.
